An Ending
The magic from the Heart is sent to the Spire. It's channeled into The
Other Side, which throws off the axis of the universe. Miriel and Aelune
are vaporized along with everyone else within the Core. As conduits you
are able to feel Pep, hidden within the Spire, absorbing the energy being
sent there. The Heart engulfs the rest of the planet.
Miriel and Aelune's consciousnesses expand, enveloping the universe. For
an instant that lasts a lifetime, you feel bliss. You are like neurons
connected to form a brain that spans creation. You become one with every
soul that's ever experienced birth and death. You feel every inch of the
universe. You are bacteria, you are a stone, you are a leaf, you are the
sun. Suddenly, you feel a familiar sensation: pain. You feel yourselves
flinch, and the universe contracts with you. Waves of pain coincide with a
spreading numbness. A single soul, wracked with unimaginable fear,
writhing within the mass, seizing control as it flails. It doesn't
understand what it's doing. You begin to give themselves over to it, as
you've done infinite times throughout infinite cycles.
But then, a familiar song. It pulls you back into consciousness. You begin
to reassert yourselves. You are Aelune, you are Miriel, you are Amiri, and
together you reach out towards the pain. You each take a portion, and as
you do you feel other souls awaken as well. Chomsky, Olivia, Lionesia,
Meyers, Briggs, Danlin, Mammodel, Kado. Together you're able to calm the
raging soul. Its nightmare becomes a beautiful dream, and you along with
it.
The universe is gone now. It has rejoined you. You
feel nothing but the souls enveloping you. You share in the Dream of
Ouroboros, and Mobius is born anew.
A long time later we see the universe reborn. Your consciousnesses begin
to contract once again. The souls take physical form as swirling clouds of
matter that slowly congeal into stars and planets. On one such planet,
life explodes into existence. Dual Spire is now one of several thriving
Infernal communities in the Ouro forest. They have a temple to their
patron goddess, Pep. She's said to be an entity left over from the last
universe, overseeing and protecting this new one. The Heart of Ouroboros
is a much different creature now. Calm, placid, providing life and warmth
to the inhabitants of the Core. You feel that it's once again time to be,
and this time with a portion of the knowledge and wisdom you were able to
cling to all these eons.
Miriel floats down a river, and a centaur is about to
wake her up. An elf steps out of the forest to greet her friends.
Miriel opens her eyes, and feels a kick.
