The Obelisks

Long ago, Denizen gifted his people, the infernals, with knowledge of the full breadth and width of The Truth. He instructed them to build the obelisks that bridged the gap between the material plane and Mobius. The infernals believed them to be bridges. To Denizen, they were load-bearing pillars.

Later, at a time when a certain sort of weapon was common, one such device was detonated here in Feylin. Normally the effects of such a weapon would fade over decades, but the obelisk was the gap in the flagstones that this weed needed to take root. The Blight forces that gap ever wider as it expands.
